The Wind&Bones mentoring programme is run by Dr. Hannah Stevens & Dr. Will Buckingham. We love working with writers to help them develop their work and really make it shine. Between us we have over 30 years of experience in writing, publishing, and teaching writers to perfect their craft.
Sigh up for updates about our mentoring programme and our courses.

What experience do I need?
We've worked with writers at the beginnings of their careers, and with writers who have published extensively. You don't even need to have started writing at all! If you are just starting out, we can use the initial conversation to set you some tasks, and then we can give you feedback once you have some work to show us.
How long does the mentoring programme take?
It depends on you, and we are happy to adapt to your pace. Some writers like a lot of time to reflect. Others like a lot of forward momentum. But count on the whole process taking at least three weeks.
What genres do you cover?
We've worked with writers of fiction, nonfiction and poetry, and we're interested in multiple genres. We agree with Ursula Le Guin when she says, 'Genres exist... but no genre is inherently, categorically superior or inferior.'
Can I continue working with you at the end of the programme?
Yes! We are very flexible and happy to arrange a bespoke package to suit your needs.
Huge thanks to the Wind&Bones team for helping me through a stuck patch in a fiction writing project. Will Buckingham and Hannah Stevens are fabulous writing mentors (and just generally awesome and brilliant humans), doing really cool things. Check out their work, y’all.

I’m delighted to have signed up on the Wind&Bones creative writing mentoring programme. It is absolutely lovely. I especially love how well-paced it is, especially in these circumstances. I cannot recommend Will Buckingham & Hannah Stevens enough.
